1st Visit to the Pool and Beach

While Brian was busy working Max and I went to the pool and the beach.  It was Max's first time to either so I did not know how he was going to react.  He did not care for the kiddy pool but he did enjoy sitting on the edge of the real pool splashing with his hands and feet.  We got all the way in the pool after the beach and he seemed to like it as I walked from side to side and dipping his shoulders underwater.  Sorry but I did not get any action shots since it was just the two of us.

After we splashed a bit in the pool we went down to the check out the beach.  He really liked running up and down the access ramp.  He went to take a step off the wood onto the sand and he did not like the feel of the sand on his feet so I carried him down to the hard packed sand.

I realized that I might have created a ham when I told him to pose so he would be still for the picture and this is what I got.

He enjoyed the waves as long as I was holding him so I sat in the waves and he sat in my lap.  He did not play too much with the sand but he did like playing with it out of my hands.  I tried to get a face shot on the beach as you know it is hard to chase a 19 month old and get them to do what you want for a picture.  :)

After about an hour of sun time we changed back into our street clothes and had some lunch.  As we left the pool to head home he fell asleep within 2 blocks!  And when we got home and he laid down in his pack n play he napped for 4 1/2 hours!!  He typically naps 2 hours, I guess the day in the sun was very exciting :)
