Since we have been traveling the month of May we decided to stay home for Memorial Day weekend. We grilled out with friends on Sunday and on Saturday we went to the park. Here are a few shots...

1st Visit to the Pool and Beach
While Brian was busy working Max and I went to the pool and the beach. It was Max's first time to either so I did not know how he was going to react. He did not care for the kiddy pool but he did enjoy sitting on the edge of the real pool splashing with his hands and feet. We got all the way in the pool after the beach and he seemed to like it as I walked from side to side and dipping his shoulders underwater. Sorry but I did not get any action shots since it was just the two of us.

After we splashed a bit in the pool we went down to the check out the beach. He really liked running up and down the access ramp. He went to take a step off the wood onto the sand and he did not like the feel of the sand on his feet so I carried him down to the hard packed sand.
I realized that I might have created a ham when I told him to pose so he would be still for the picture and this is what I got.
He enjoyed the waves as long as I was holding him so I sat in the waves and he sat in my lap. He did not play too much with the sand but he did like playing with it out of my hands. I tried to get a face shot on the beach as you know it is hard to chase a 19 month old and get them to do what you want for a picture. :)
After about an hour of sun time we changed back into our street clothes and had some lunch. As we left the pool to head home he fell asleep within 2 blocks! And when we got home and he laid down in his pack n play he napped for 4 1/2 hours!! He typically naps 2 hours, I guess the day in the sun was very exciting :)
Visit with Oma
After our time with my family we spent a couple of days with Oma. Max really enjoyed the playground in her neighborhood and the ability to go outside without any stairs from any door in her house.
We were very lucky to have a date night while we were there. Oma and Max had a neighborhood party while we had a grown up dinner in St. Augustine at a fancy restaurant.

Alicia's Wedding May 2011
On Saturday evening we went to Alicia's wedding. It was a beautiful service and wonderful reception. Her Grandpa is in the hospital so the whole wedding party stopped by to surprise him. They got some great pictures with him. Again Kathy got some great shots of Max....
Max and the beautiful bride.

I love this shirt on Max. He looks like a little player!
Brian got several shots of Max playing in this chair. I really wonder what evil genius plan he is working on.
Max and Grandpaw playing Gigi's slot machine. He was a pro.... I think I should be worried.
Cody's Graduation May 2011
We had a big weekend the end of May. We went down to Brunswick for a graduation, wedding and a grandparent visit. On Saturday morning we were able to go to Cody's high school graduation. I tried to take pictures but Kathy had much better shots that I did (as usual). I am sharing her pictures instead of mine.
I can't believe Cody is a high school graduate heading to college!
Max was really excited to be there!
Cutting up with GrandPaw.
Laughing with Cody.
Doesn't Kathy get the best smiles!!
A rare family shot. We got him to take out the paci but could not keep his hands away from those teeth. Come on already teeth quit bothering my guy!
