5 weeks old

We had a weight check on Friday and Max is growing growing growing.  He is now 21 inches long and 8 pounds 6 ounces.  Here is his 5 week picture.  I know I am already missing the milestones, I forgot to use the date board this week :)  This is Max having some tummy time, I know it looks like a nap but it started out as tummy time.

On Saturday, Max got to meet more of the family.  On the way back from Indiana Grandpa Roger, Nalini and Cherrie stopped by to meet Max.  We only got a quick visit since they had been driving for 12 hours and still had 6 more to go.

On Sunday the Dunn Family came by to get some Max time.  Riley was too cute, she went straight to the sink to wash her hands and when I came to living room she already had the boppy around her waist and was waiting for Max.

Monica had to fight Max away from Riley to get her snuggles in.  We asked Max who loves visitors and Max raised his hand.

Happy Thanksgiving

Max had a big Thanksgiving Day.  Nettie, Kathy, Eli and Eliza came up to meet Max and have Thanksgiving with us and my Mom.  I had my own adventures going out to the grocery store without Max to get a pie for desert.   We had a great time playing with the E's and Nettie and Kathy were a great help getting everyone fed, changed and napping.  The E's are exactly 4 months older than Max and it is amazing how much more interactive they are.  We have a ton of pictures but I will just post a few for you.

This is the picture that Nettie and I will insist be shown at Max and Eliza's wedding.  Yes that is right we have already prearranged their marriage.

I just can't believe that little Max will get as tall as the E's!

One Month Old

Can you believe Max is already a month old???  I sure can't!  Here is a picture of the big boy, and he was not happy to have his picture taken. 

4 Weeks Old

We had a great weekend with Grandpa Rooney.  Max enjoyed his grandpa time!  Grandpa found a new use for the boppy pillow!

On Sat we went for our 1st walk around the neighborhood. Max was asleep before we got to the end of the street. 

This what I found in the living room Sat morning.  Brian took Max at the 5 am feeding so that I could sleep. Thanks Dad!

I can't believe Max has been here 4 weeks already!

Moby Wrap

I got the Moby Wrap this week so Max and I tried it out tonight.  He fell right to sleep in there.  It seems like it will be a great way to keep him near and still be able to do things around the house and out in public. 

Grandpa Rooney got here this afternoon for the weekend.  He made us a great dinner tonight and tomorrow is grilling steaks!  I am excited to be able to have beef that is not well done!

3 Weeks

We had a big Sat, Max was 3 weeks old and we had several great friends stop by to meet him.  Karen, Chuck and Kirsten came by in the morning and Kathy and Lane came by after lunch.  We even went outside for about 20 mins, the weather was so nice and we got to visit with Rich, Heather, Scott and even Stephanie.

Big Week!

We have had a great week. On Wed we went to get newborn pictures taken of Max. We had a wonderful time and Max was even naked for about 30 mins and he did not wet on anything!! The photographer was very impressed that even though Max is over 2 weeks old he still co-operated so well and stayed in all the poses she wanted.
Last night we had our 1st bath.  It went much better than I expected.  He did not scream or anything!
Today we both went for checkups. My incision is healing well and my blood pressure was back to normal. Max had a great checkup. He has gained weight and is up to 7 pounds even!! Max goes back in 2 weeks to make sure he is continuing to gain.
